St. Mary's Festival Choir is an expanded version of the Church Choir and performs twice a year in St Mary’s. Anyone who would like to sing, but cannot commit themselves to regular services, is welcome to join in on these occasions. Friends and relatives from St Mary’s congregation and the community, with acquaintances from local choirs and churches, find their way into this happy crowd of about 40 voices. We sing a sacred cantata, such as Stainer’s 'Crucifixion', on Good Friday, and a work such as Fauré’s Requiem around Remembrance time in November each year, raising money for local charities. We also sing carols in The Glades and local roads before Christmas.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak there will be no Festival Choir performance on Good Friday this year, but it is hoped that we will be able to resume in November with a cheerful celebratory concert.
