Have your child baptised
We are delighted to be able to share in this special moment in your lives, and hope that the service will speak clearly of God's love for all people, and especially children.
What you need to do:
Please come along to a main morning service at 10.30am and introduce yourself to one of the Ministers or a Churchwarden. They will then give you a simple form to complete with all your details. He will then contact you to arrange a date for the baptism which usually takes place in the main morning service at 10.30am. We have a constant demand for baptisms and we will do our best to meet your needs. Prior to the baptism you will meet at least once with the clergy, so that they can get to know you better and explain the service.
We are a family church and are well aware of the needs of young famillies. We have a thriving 'family corner' where parents and babies can sit. During the Sunday morning service, there are also four Sunday clubs - a Sparklers group for pre-school children, an All Stars group for infants, a Galaxy Sunday Club for Juniors and a Big Breakfast Club for those who attend secondary school.
Finding the space for spiritual renewal and personal recreation is not easy when you are facing the relentless demands of young children, and you are not alone if you feel this. Yet it is in the middle of the stress and the mess that God often meets most deeply with us through his own son, Jesus. We believe this and we hope that you will also find this to be true.
