Sparklers
Sparklers is a small group of children who are in the reception and year 1 school years - 4 to 6 year olds. The average attendance on a Sunday is about four.
We start our sessions with 'show and tell'. This gives the children an opportunity to talk about something exciting in their lives!
We then read a simple passage from the Bible. Having read, we then do some activities round the story they have just heard. This could include drawing, painting, singing, acting, sticking, etc. This reinforces the message and generates further discussion within the group.
We conclude with a short prayer before going back into church.
