The Orbits Sunday Club meets during the main Sunday morning service, leaving church during the first hymn and returning in time for communion. They meet most weeks, during term time other than when a Family Service is scheduled (normally the second Sunday in the month). The Orbits Sunday Club is aimed at young people in school years 7 to 9 i.e. those in the first three years of secondary school and is led by Claire Samuels and Clem Sutton together with regular volunteer helpers (all of whom are CRB checked). The Club is based in Church House next to the church itself. During the session they work through Scripture Union Material aimed at this age group, exploring themes in depth over a number of weeks using a combination of readings, activities and games.
The Orbits Sunday Club is chance for the young people to learn more about the Christian faith and ask questions in a safe non-judgemental environment. Another equally important aspect to the club is that it is a chance for the young people to socialise with each other.
